Alcoa Electrical and Electronic Solutions (AEES) Wolfsburg sponsored a special vehicle

With more than 2000 EUR the Alcoa location in Wolfsburg supported the charitable organization "Wolfsburger Tafel e.V." and through this demonstrated its connection to the local community. Together with other sponsors, AEES financed a special cooling vehicle. The location's manager, Michael Stache, as well as 7 other representatives from other sponsors, were able to hand the key of a brand new VW crafter to Elke, Zeitzke, chairwoman of the NGO. In return, the Alcoa logo will be featured on the car for the next 5 years.

With the help of this new cooling vehicle the volunteers from the "Wolfsburger Tafel" are able to get donations/food from local grocery stores to the selling stations without an interruption in the cold chain. At those stations the top-quality groceries - which are usually coming from excess inventory - are given to people in need for free or for a very low symbolic amount. Currently about 25.000 citizens are voluntarily working for these regional charities all over Germany.

The Development Center in Wolfsburg with its currently 32 employees is supporting the very important customer Volkswagen right at the location. Since 1999 extensive harness systems for cars such as Golf, Sharan, Eos etc. are developed and commercial service is offered. The location in Wolfsburg is therefore a very important toe-hold for AEES in order to further maintain the business with Volkswagen and to also increase it in the future.
