"Made in Hildesheim" exhibition was opened on July 1, 2008 in the Hildesheim town hall

On July 1 2008, the exhibition "Made in Hildesheim" was officially opened by the Mayor Kurt Machens and the City Treasurer Antje Kuhne. This permanent exhibition is now open to the public and can be found in the town hall on the gallery.

The Department for Economic Development of the City of Hildesheim organized this exhibition and chose "mobility" as first subject. Several different industrial sectors from the manufacturing industry and the service industry are part of this economic trade and are one of the focal points of the Hildesheim economic landscape.

14 companies altogether participated at the exhibition displaying their products - Alcoa Fastening Systems is also playing a part. Now you can find some specially chosen high strength fasteners made out of titanium and steel alloys in the display cabinets which have been specially made for this exhibition by a local craftsman. The exhibition is meant as "living" exhibition; it should always be kept updated and should be complemented by other subjects, companies and products in the next few years.
